The IP protection index, or FPS (Solar Protection factor) or SPF in English have the same meaning.It serves as a guide to define the level of UVB radiation protection offered by a sunscreen.

The highest SPF that can be labeled is 50+: very high protection.What is UVA labeling for?To ensure UVA protection, a symbol was created to optimize UV protection as part of the new EU recommendations on solar care.UVA labelling provides a simple and easy-to-read solution to ensure a reasonable UVA and UVB protection ratio.The UVA/UVB protection ratio is at least 1/3 for the products on which the symbol appears.
