The modern formula of nail polish is composed mainly of a mixture of different resins, solvents and colored pigments.
The correct dosage of the components is the essential condition for a varnish to be easy to apply and to adhere perfectly to the nail.
The composition is made in such a way that the nail can breathe even though it is covered with several layers.
Only carefully selected ingredients make up MAVALA Mini Color nail polishes.
Our pearl nail polishes, for example, contain natural mother-of-pearl from fish scales to give a real opalescent shine.

A quality nail polish correctly applied on a protective base, such as MAVALA 002 or BARRIERE-BASE, is supposed to last five to seven days, under normal conditions of everyday life. Applying a layer of COLORFIX or MAVADRY at the end of a manicure, and then once every two days, increases the hold of your nail polish over time.

A varnish that is too thick is difficult to apply, dries very slowly and therefore flakes more easily. We advise you to add a few drops of varnish THINNER. It is important to never add nail polish remover to thin it, as this would cause the components of the varnish to separate. Nail polish removers contain water which is incompatible with the varnish!

Nail polish tends to thicken over time, especially if the bottle is not properly capped between applications. Avoid leaving the bottle open for too long. When not in use, keep it tightly closed and upright.

Nail polish, due to its formula, is more fluid in a warm climate and thicker in a cold climate. Never expose your polish to too high a temperature or near a heat source. Nail polishes that are applied in only one layer and dry in a few seconds are useful for the woman who has little time for a manicure or whose nails require a quick touch-up. These nail polishes are generally less shiny and less resistant to chipping than a normal polish.

Before applying the varnish, shake the bottle well, as some colors tend to separate or settle. The beads contained in the bottle of varnish promote good mixing and temporarily break its thixotropy (the varnish regains its appropriate fluidity). This makes the application of the varnish easier.

Before applying a base, make sure your hands are clean and dry and free of any traces of grease.
